# Manage Devices

Add, edit and delete a device

The device is the main functional unit of the platform, it reflects the state of the physical device.

In other words the device is a virtual representation of the real machine, of which it monitors the data and  it represents telemetry, alarms and configuration as well as managing recipes when available.
