Add new model

To create new device model, access Models menu (1) under Device items group

1. The Models menu shows the list of all available device models

2. The Add model button opens the popup where you can enter the new device model details, such as Name and Model ID.

   1. Connector type is the way the device will connect to the physics machine: Custom means the connector is a "tailor made" program that manage data from and to the machine, MQTT instead means it connects directly to our mqtt broker

   2. Firmware upgradable if the device software supports remote firmware upgrades. This makes available a section in Device detail page

   3. Supports provisioning if the device supports the Things 5 provisioning mechanism. This makes available a menu item in Actions for single device
   4. Supports VPN if the device software supports a VPN to be switched on and off remotely. This makes available a menu item inActions for single device
   5. Thing5 OS if the device is connected using a Visup Gateway. This makes available a menu item inActions for single device
   6. Support recipes if the device software is able to remotely manage recipes. This makes available a section in Device detail page

   7. HACCP enabled allow users to view and download the HACCP report. This makes available a section in Device detail page Haccp interval indicates the aggregation interval of the metrics

3. Click the Save button to complete the procedure and see your new model inside the model list

Edit or delete a model

To edit model properties or delete a model, open the action menu (pos. 1) and choose the action you want to complete

Edit menu allows to modify model properties such as name, ID, image, haccp interval and so on, depending by your account permissions

Delete menu instead will remove that model form the list if possible, it must be not assigned to any machine
