A device group is a set of devices that is used for organizational purposes. The standard user will be able to access a limited number of groups, this way the admin can limit the visibility of each group by user.
Use + Add group button (ref. 1 here above) to create a new group in the relative hierarchy level (column A here above)
Use the "plus" button (ref. 2 here above) to create a new level
Categories are required to be able to create sub-groups. For example, here above, is a three level structure Visup, Dealer and Customer (A, B, C)
To create sub-groups, you need to have at least a lower level category first. For example, this is a two level structure Visup and Dealer
When you click on the box you want to manage, a list of users with permissions related to that group (ref. 2 here above) is shown on right side. At the same time a + Add group button appears into the next available level (ref. 1 here above) to add sub-groups in it.
Categories are a way to assign user permissions to top-level groups which will propagate to all their sub-groups
You can change a machine group in the "Change Group" popup, accessed from the action menu in the device list item (ref. 1 here below), the available groups (ref. 2 here below) can be seen in the list.
